This year Cambridge walks away with a gold, silver and brooze at the SUPA Nationals 2016.

Lower Intermediates

The upper intermediates captain by TDS's had a very strong start with an easy 8-0 win against Newcastle. Following this embarassing large win we went on to have another good win against Buckingham 4-1. Only one goal was allowed to slip past our tight marking and was scored by a clean back hand by their number 3.

These two wins put us in a go...

The battle of the Blues, with the rivalry of Oxford and Cambridge Universities, is legendary in the sport of polo. The summer Varsity match, first played in 1878, is the oldest annual match played in Europe. Now, 138 years later, on 23 January 2016, Cambridge University hosted the inaugural Winter Varsity Arena Tournament versus Oxford at the pristine grounds of the Cambridge County Polo Club, in front of a large and supportive crowd.

October 10, 2015

Cambridge had two strong wins at Novice and Intermediate level at our home ground, Cambridge County Polo Club.

After a tense warm-up, and with the pressure of the finals, the light blue team rode into the arena for their final match against a strong Exeter team. Beginners Match Report 15-5 Win

As the ford focus pulled into Cambridge County Polo Club Oli stepped out of the front passenger seat with an air of healthy confidence about him. After a brief fiasco concerning the zip of Ben’s boot, where Pablo came to the rescue, the team consisting of Ben Lawrence, Oli Melvill and Francisco de la Pena were mount...

October 14, 2014

On Sunday, 12th October, Cambridge University (CUPC) held their

first match of the Michaelmas term at their new club – Cambridge

County Polo Club, situated in Lode, just outside of central

Cambridge. The weather held out for an exciting afternoon, where a

hard fought and close match took place. The players, having been

used to the green, grassy turf of grass polo, found it partially

challenging to make the transition back to arena polo, as is custom

in win...
